About
Child/Adolescent
Kids tell us they need help in lots of different ways: some kids become withdrawn & secretive, others become moody & volatile, & some begin to struggle in school and/or at home.
Child therapy is an effective & helpful way to better understand these behaviors and implement tools to overcome challenges.
Usually parents call when they notice a change in their child’s behavior, or after they have received feedback from their child’s school or pediatrician. Sometimes parents need help figuring out how to work collaboratively & successfully manage behavioral changes – we work with parents to help them understand these behaviors & educate them on effective use of new tools at home.
Therapists at Riverscape Counseling use a combination of Play-based therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Solution-focused therapy, & Attachment therapy.
