Shelby Dinkledine CT
Master's level Counselor in Training
Children, Adolescents, Adults
I work with clients in a compassionately direct way to address trauma, anxiety, chronic dissatisfaction and unhealthy relationship patterns in order to shift from surviving to thriving. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, LGBTQ, parenting, separation/divorce, partner/relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and both early childhood and ongoing trauma as well as those who may be struggling with a disability. My approach is Person-centered and relational and I also utilize elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic awareness and mindfulness to address the key memories, beliefs, thoughts and feelings that are at the root cause of relationship distress and attachment difficulties.
Therapy is a place to become aware of our somatic cues, unearth themes that impede progress or peace, identify tools to shift those patterns, and build resilience. I work with children, teens and adults
