Ashlyn, a Mental Health Counselor, holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University. Her expertise covers a broad spectrum of mental health concerns in children, adolescents, families, and adults. She is skilled in both individual and group counseling, having led groups on coping skills, anger management, emotions, and more. Ashlyn has offered a variety of services to children and adolescents with behavioral disabilities.
Having worked in acute settings and at a Day School Program, Ashlyn sees herself as a multicultural counselor due to her experience with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ashlyn's main counseling methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based, Positive Psychology, and Trauma-Informed Counseling. She emphasizes the importance of working together with clients during therapy sessions. Creating a safe and confidential environment for all clients to establish a positive therapeutic relationship is a priority for her.
