Life can be messy and every one of us has our difficulties and things in our lives that we would like to be better. My name is Doug Hickey and I humbled and excited to be partnering with Riverscape counseling and you as we walk through this part of your journey of life together. I have been a teacher, working with youth for over 20 years and I bring a vast resource of practical life experiences with me. I have four master’s degrees, as I believe that education and learning are a critical component to the change process. I love working with youth, individuals, marriage and families and people with addictions as we work together to find practical, hands on, empirically based, evidenced backed solutions, which can be applied and practiced in your daily life activities. While I filter everything through the lens of scripture and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I strive to find an eclectic approach to problem solving, in an effort to find truths relevant to you, your circumstances and your life.
I work with ages 12 yrs old and up.
