Andrew Smith CT

My name is Andrew but I go by Andy I was born in Jacksonville Florida where I lived for 7 years and then moved to Asheville North Carolina. I gained a passion for psychology after receiving a diagnosis of major depressive disorder at the age of 12. I also took a psychology course in high school, furthering my desire to be a therapist. I met my future wife in that course and we will be married this October 2023! My undergraduate education was at Appalachian State University in North Carolina where I received a bachelor's degree of science in psychology. I am currently finishing a Master’s degree in counseling at Wright State University and am expected to graduate in the Spring of 2024.

My interests outside of psychology are playing video games, reading science fiction books, playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, and spending time with my fiance.
