Darcie R Clark NCC, LPCCS, LMHC, LICDC, CEO, Clinical Director, Chief Executive Officer, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Saddle Seat Horse rider, competitor. This work is the culmination of years of ongoing work and professional development Darcie R Clark has enjoyed in each of these unique roles.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Equestrian Science from William Woods University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University She is Certified as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning from PATH Int’l. She has extensive training in Mental Health and Wellness. She has had many years in the counseling field, beginning in 1998. She is passionate about her work as an Equine Therapist. She believes horses see our souls, and provide a safe, non-judgmental place to unpack our stuff and discover our true selves. She hopes to take the equine therapy program to a higher level of interaction and relationship building.
Her approach to treating children and adolescents was formed, in part, by her years of work as a counselor in the Juvenile Justice system for Montgomery County Juvenile Court. This involved serving children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The work helped kids learn how to have relationships, how to cope with their environment, how to express themselves within their families, and how to progress toward healthy development. Years of ongoing work and professional development have enabled Darcie to provide equine-assisted psychotherapy, with compassion and skill.
