Associate Counselor In Training

Hi! My name is Michaela and I am in my final year of the Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I also hold a Master’s in Business Administration from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University. With a strong background in the business world, I chose to pursue a second career as a therapist. My passion is to create a safe, empathetic, and compassionate environment where individuals can connect authentically and without judgment.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy in my counseling approach. I deeply value encouraging clients to explore their feelings and experiences openly, helping them to facilitate personal growth and self-discovery through a genuine therapeutic relationship.

I am a lifelong learner, avid reader, and creative soul. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three sons in my free time. I also enjoy traveling, volunteering in my community, and working on various projects.

Works with ages 6+.

I work with

ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Body Positivity, Borderline Personality (BPD), Codependency, Coping Skills, Depression, Divorce, Emotional Disturbance, Mood Disorders
